about me
My name is Brittany, and I'm the artist responsible for the work you see on this site.
I sort of stumbled into graphic design... A few years back, a friend gave me a demo of Photoshop to try. At first I was scared to try it; it was so intimidating with all those buttons and tools! But then one day, boredom sank in and I decided to look for some tutorials to learn how to use it, and the rest is history. I started out making digital scrapbook layouts and basic picture edits, then branched out into custom email/forum signatures. Then, a friend who owned a forum asked me to make her a skin and my love for the art just grew and grew. Eventually I began creating photo collages and fan art for another forum I belong to, and now here I am.
These days, graphic design is not only something I love to do as a hobby, but I have turned into a career. As of February 2011, I have my Associates' Degree in Applied Science in Web Graphic Design and am now pursuing my bachelor's degree in Multimedia Design and Development. To see my resume, click here.
As far as photography, it is something I have loved all my life. One of my first birthday presents I remember getting was a purple and teal Vivitar 110 camera when I was 10 years old. :) I thought I was big stuff, running around taking pictures with my own rolls of film! These days I use a Canon Rebel XS for my pictures, and then process the pictures in Photoshop CS4. I love shooting landscapes and architecture, as well as "stock" photography, but I am now trying my hand at portrait photography as well.
Thanks for stopping by the site! I welcome all feedback and comments; if you'd like to get in touch with me, please feel free to email me. Have a great day! :)
